Brussels, Belgium August 13, 2009 - MWH announced today an organizational redesign of its Europe-Africa region. The region will have two Managing Directors to lead the region--one to lead the MWH Engineering and Technical Services team and the other to lead MWH Business Solutions Group (BSG) activities for Program Management and Management Consulting.
Wim Drossaert has been appointed as the Regional Managing Director for the Europe-Africa geography responsible for Engineering and Technical Services. Wim will consolidate the ETS strategy for the entire Europe-Africa region. In addition, Wim will continue his leadership for Northern Europe.
Wim is known for his experience in the Dutch water market sector. He worked as Water Manager with the engineering firm De Straat Milieu Adviseurs, later, working as Chief Operating Officer for Syncera, an engineering company that became part of MWH in 2007. Wim studied biology and environmental science at the Radboud University Nijmegen. He worked for more than 17 years for governments, harbours and industry. He participates in various industry and social organizations including the New Water Elan, the European Platform for Gateways, Platform for dredging and sediments and the Center for Communication on Water and Climate. Wim lives in Rotterdam with his wife and two children.
Jon Pike has been appointed Regional Managing Director for the Europe-Africa geography, responsible for Program Management and Management Consulting. Jon will direct the overall strategy to grow our program and management consulting business throughout the region.
Jon is a chartered civil engineer with over 15 years of industry experience. For the last 10 years he has specialised in the program management of large scale capital investment programs, primarily in the UK water sector. Most recently, he served as the Director for all MWH programs in the UK and represents the company on the boards of a number of its joint ventures. In this capacity, he has been responsible for developing and implementing the MWH program growth strategy as well as driving the performance of the existing business. Jon received his engineering degree from Imperial College in London. He lives in Manchester with his wife and daughter.
