Jeannie Edwards Chief Human Resources Officer

Jeannie Edwards is Chief of Human Resources at MWH Global, headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado. She is responsible for providing knowledgeable and proactive human resources services to support the global operation.
Ms. Edwards is passionate about people, and committed to providing a supportive workplace environment to ensure employees can perform their job to the best of their abilities. Her role and commitment to Building a Better World directly supports employees of MWH in helping to provide sustainable solutions to our clients. Ms. Edwards’ commitment to workplace diversity and understanding extends in part from having lived in countries across the globe including Africa, Brunei and the U.K.
A veteran of the engineering and construction industry, Ms. Edwards joined MWH in 2005 as Director of Human Resources for the Europe-Africa region, becoming Chief Human Resources Officer in April 2010. Prior to MWH, she was Director of Human Resources for AECOM and the Carl Bro Group. She also supported human resources efforts with Pepsi-Cola International and Brunei Shell Petroleum.
Ms. Edwards was the first woman and first non-engineer to be appointed to the Ruling Council of the Association of Consulting Engineers. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. She has previously served on the Construction Industry Council’s Health and Safety Task Force, the British Standard Institute’s Committee Health and Safety Task Force and the Construction Industry Training Board’s Development and Learning Programme. She was also involved in M4I – Movement for Innovation in the Construction Industry and chaired the risk management committee for the European Federation of Consulting Engineers.
Outside of work, Ms. Edwards is a School Governor in the U.K. in her 18th year of governorship, and is committed to promoting special education needs. She also enjoys lacing up her shoes to get out to walk or run. She splits her time between the U.K., France and Broomfield, Colo.
Ms. Edwards has a bachelor’s in human resources from Thames Valley University and a master’s in employment law from Kingston University. She has also earned a certificate in occupational safety and health from National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
