MWH Launches First App for Singapore International Water Week

Sydney, June 13, 2012 – Understanding delegates’ need for speedy decision-making and easy access to information and speakers - global consulting, engineering and construction company MWH Global has created its first app for delegates of the upcoming Singapore International Water Week 2012 (SIWW).

Available to download from the Apple App store today, the MWH@SIWW app provides delegates with a number of interactive features, including:

  • Screening times and film synopses for the award-winning MWH Water Dome
  • Speaker profiles and contact details of attending MWH thought leaders
  • MWH project and company information
  • Links to MWH social media channels

Asia Pacific Managing Director Steve Nye explained: “The MWH@SIWW app is a first for MWH and for the event itself. Conferences such as SIWW are incredibly busy and it can be overwhelming for delegates to find the right people or to access more information on interesting projects that speakers mention during panel discussions or presentations.

“We want to make SIWW as easy, accessible and speedy as possible for delegates and with the launch of our app, we believe the conference experience will catch up with the immediacy and interactivity we enjoy in our professional and personal lives.”

The MWH@SIWW app is another first for the company, which launched SIWW’s first fully functioning cinema in 2011. The MWH Water Dome stood out from the 603 exhibitors, winning ‘Best in Show’ in its category  in 2011, as it turned its 48m2 space into a cinema complete with snack bar, theatre-style seating and state-of-the-art sound system to screen films showing MWH projects across the globe. This unique approach offered a highly effective way for MWH to demonstrate innovation while providing an additional channel to showcase its expertise through video, demonstrations and presentations.
