Graduate Program

The Professional Development Programme (PDvP) for Graduates and Technicians (trainees) was conceived in 2006 and is unique to our industry, by creating a common denominator for the various professional institutions in the water industry. Any trainee completing the PDvP successfully will also have reached the high standards expected by their particular institution.  More importantly, it sets a standard for MWH trainees to attain, incorporating employee appraisal competences, which is that of the highest common denominator of all the institutions, whose recognition is so vital in the industry. The development objectives (competences) of professional bodies map to relevant elements of the MWH standard on a 1-2-1 basis. Remaining development objectives within the MWH standard complete the requirements of performance evaluations. The MWH Standard is split into:

  • Common Core – Common to all developing professionals
  • Company Specific – Connections to MWH processes, systems and people
  • Discipline Specific – Unique to a favoured professional body
