It's no secret that lifetime learning is critical to staying ahead in this dynamic business climate.

That's why MWH offers so many innovative tools and educational courses to keep our employees constantly learning and growing.

You'll find MWH allows you to learn from some of the industry's most respected names.  You'll gain expertise in the latest technologies and scientific developments.  And you'll have access to such powerful career-building resources as:

  • On-the-job mentoring
  • Continuing education reimbursement policies
  • Company-paid training, seminars and conferences

That's not all. We've taken the concept of employee training one step further.

MWH University

To keep our employees constantly learning, we have created MWH University.

This dynamic program is designed for employees of all levels to learn new skills and network with others.

One example is our Create the Future course, which is designed for new employees.

This course helps these employees develop interpersonal skills.  It also alerts them to potential growth opportunities at MWH.  Finally, it shows these employees how they can chart their own course within the company, and not just rely on the traditional career path options.

Additionally, we offer a number of courses on such topics as:

  • Leading knowledge communities virtually
  • Design-build project delivery systems
  • Project management
  • Racial and ethnic diversity
  • Men and women working together

Technology Conferences

At MWH, we consider it critical to share project innovations and technological developments company wide.

Our MWH Technology Conferences allow us to do just that.

These annual events bring together employees from around the world to discuss new technology concepts, share innovative ideas and learn from each other in locations such as Breckenridge, Colorado (USA) and Warrington, UK

To further share this knowledge, we provide all MWH offices with an interactive CD-ROM that summarizes these conference presentations.  This way everyone in our organization can benefit.

Recent talks have included:

  • Strategic business processes for program delivery
  • Risk-based approaches to remedial investigations
  • Ultraviolet light in drinking water treatment
  • Cryptosporidium risk reduction
  • Multinational industries' needs for environmental, infrastructure and IT services
  • Benefits of knowledge sharing
  • Cultural challenges of working internationally
