"MWH Treasures" |
|
At MWH, we believe strongly in sharing knowledge. That's why we value our company experts not only for their experience, but also for the invaluable expertise they provide our entire staff. Our "MWH Treasures" program is an excellent example. This program brings together senior managers, who are recognized leaders in their fields. For instance, MWH might design a seminar that allows our staff to be in the field with some of the brightest minds in the business. A terrific alternative to the classroom setting, this program features lectures and field trips with these professional "treasures" to address such subjects as:
To introduce you to some of these MWH Treasures, please see below: Jim Borchardt, Vice President Jim Borchardt has more than 20 years experience in water storage, conveyance and treatment facilities. He combines strong civil engineering knowledge with a specialization in physical, chemical and biological processes of water treatment and natural aquatic systems. His expertise includes water quality studies, bench and pilot scale testing, facility planning and design, process evaluation, hydraulic analysis, treatment plant operation and start-up, and construction management. A member of many technical advisory committees, Borchardt has toured water supply and treatment facilities throughout the United States and Europe. Daniel Wetstein, Vice President Mr. Wetstein has 23 years of experience in planning, designing and constructing civil and sanitary engineering projects in Argentina, Australia, Egypt, Thailand and the United States. He is highly knowledgeable in both water and wastewater systems. And his responsibilities have included total project delivery from planning and design through construction management to start-up and commissioning. He has worked in regional office settings, under special foreign project status and on environmental program management teams. Charles Bromley, Principal Engineer Charles Bromley has 19 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering. He has planned, designed and constructed municipal wastewater and water facilities in Australia, Britain, Canada, New Zealand and the United States. Bromley is currently a technical advisor to the American Water Works Association Research Foundation on its ozone systems design manual. His work on the Delaware River (U.S.) Regional Water Treatment Plant was a 1997 winner of an AAEE National Excellence in Environmental Engineering award. Don Spiegel, Principal Engineer Mr. Spiegel has 20 years of experience in planning, designing and managing construction of water treatment and water supply projects. He has been project manager, project engineer or assistant project engineer on fifteen water treatment plants. These have ranged in size from 8 to 210 million gallons per day (30 to 795 mega liters per day). Additionally, he has worked on eight water pumping plants ranging in size from 2 to 300 million gallons per day (8 to 1135 mega liters per day). He has also served as project engineer on five pipeline projects, one of which was 126 inches (320 centimeters) in diameter, two hydroelectric generation station projects and six clear well projects. |
