NAEM Industrial Water Management Strategies Workshop Presenters

This year, MWH will also be delivering an Industrial Water Management Strategies Workshop on October 25. The workshop is intended to help Sustainability Leaders, Environmental Managers, and Facilities Directors to identify the drivers and challenges when considering on-site industrial water reuse/recycle projects. Attendees will become familiar with tools and techniques to overcome those challenges and how to build a roadmap towards successful water management programs. Joan Oppenheimer
Joan Oppenheimer MWHBCES, Principal Environmental Scientist, MWH Global Ms. Oppenheimer, BCES is a Principal Scientist within the Applied Research Department of MWH. Ms. Oppenheimer is responsible for project management of desktop, bench-scale, and pilot-scale testing of developing and alternative treatment technologies for compliance with water and wastewater regulatory requirements. Ms. Oppenheimer has 18 years of experience designing and implementing experimental protocols for water, wastewater, and hazardous waste projects and 10 years of project management and supervisory experience in the field of environmental process testing. With the WateReuse Research Foundation, Ms. Oppenheimer was the Principal Investigator for a study on the current state of industrial water reuse, including best practices, challenges, and opportunities to implement onsite water reuse.
Roman Lis

MWH Roman LisPE, CEM, Global Intelligent Water Management Practice Leader, MWH Global Roman Lis, PE, CEM. Roman Lis is the MWH Global Intelligent Water Management Practice Leader. Roman has more than 20 years of experience in water management, wastewater treatment, energy efficiency, sustainability, and multi-media regulatory compliance. He specializes in providing high value services to industrial clients that reduce operating costs, manage risk, and provide a significant payback. He has had many successful water efficiency projects across a wide spectrum of industries including chemical, petroleum, food, aerospace, metal fabrication, foundries, metal-casting, packaging, automotive parts, and other manufacturing industries.
