Regional Environmental Manager, Americas
Rosario Urrutia has 25 years of experience in key positions in the environmental field. She has performed studies, assessments and audits for projects in the mining, energy, industrial, real estate development and infrastructure industries for clients in both the public and private sectors.
In the public sphere, she has served on teams in charge of environmental impact assessments and declarations, with a primary focus on the treatment of socioeconomic issues. In the private sphere, she has performed environmental assessments at the prefeasibility quality level for toll highway concession projects, infrastructure, petrochemicals, energy and mining in all Chilean administrative regions.
In addition to performing studies in her own discipline both in Chile and abroad, she has led and coordinated multidisciplinary teams on the execution of environmental projects of large complexity.
Since joining MWH, Rosario has participated in mining projects across South America, where she currently serves as project manager for studies including the preparation of environmental assessments and baseline descriptions.
