MWH has been named as the ‘Top Firm in Water’ for the 11th consecutive year in the UK’s New Civil Engineer annual Consultants File for 2012. The Water sector ranking combines all water industry work, including water supply and wastewater.
MWH also moves up to 9th Place in the ‘Top Firms in Energy’ sector ranking, through its work in generation, transmission & distribution, and energy management. MWH has achieved a Top 6 position in the Waste sector rankings showing further progress for the company in this market during 2011.
Garry Sanderson, managing director MWH Consulting and Engineering operations in the UK said, “Achieving the top position in Water for a milestone 11th year is tremendous for MWH. It demonstrates the success of our strategy to develop a full asset lifecycle capability portfolio made possible by the Biwater Services acquisition in 2010. Our strong position in both the Waste and Power rankings also reflects the significant diversification MWH has made into new markets outside the Water industry.”
As part of the Consultants File, MWH was also selected this year as a ‘Finalist’ in the UK Consultant Company of the Year award. David Smith, MWH global strategy director commented, “MWH has again been recognized as one of the top performing consultancies in the region. This success has been achieved through our leading role in a number of high profile, prestigious infrastructure projects and the progress made in developing and growing our business.”
