The Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE) in the U.K. has awarded their first ever Diversity Award to MWH Global at this year’s ICE North West civil engineers and civil engineering awards ceremony held in Carlisle, U.K.
This award is about recognizing what is already happening to promote diversity in the profession. The ICE believes that MWH Global, through our “One Global Community” programme and our extensive work promoting women in the engineering sector, has continually shown that we are serious about diversity in civil engineering.
Darrell Matthews, North West Regional Director of the Institution of Civil Engineers said, “By ensuring that women have the support to succeed, MWH Global have created a pipeline of candidates from all backgrounds and are clearly building a truly inclusive culture.”
Cath Schefer, MWH UK Managing Director said, “We are truly delighted to win the first ever ICE Diversity Award. It’s great to have recognition of our commitment to actively recruiting top talent with diverse skills, backgrounds and personal experiences. It is important to us to provide all of our employees with a supportive environment in which to flourish.”
MWH Global is honored to receive this distinguished award from the ICE. You will find our employees succeed based on their achievements and not on their race, gender or national origin. That is because we are fully committed to creating a supportive and satisfying environment for every employee across the world.
