MWH, now part of Stantec, recently added another talent development award to its collection! We were ranked 29th in the Association for Talent Development’s (ATD) 2016 BEST Awards program. This puts us among 36 organizations from six countries to receive a 2016 BEST Award and gives us recognition in a special section of the October 2016 issue of TD, ATD’s monthly magazine.
“It’s wonderful that we were ranked in the BEST Awards, especially given this was our first time to submit in this competition,” said Asia Pacific Learning and Talent Development Manager Lisa Cox, who was on hand to present our firm’s best practices and accept the award in Washington, D.C. earlier this month. “This recognition really gives credence to the robust talent development program we have been building for years and I know we will only continue to climb higher and higher in the rankings as we integrate the Stantec and MWH operations.”
The BEST Awards are the talent development industry’s most rigorous and coveted recognition. The BEST Awards recognize organizations that demonstrate enterprise-wide success through talent development. “Creating innovative, vibrant learning cultures and developing talent in ways that clearly contribute to strategic business goals, are hallmarks of ATD BEST winners,” says Tony Bingham, ATD President and CEO. “They get it. Leaders in these organizations value the impact that talent development achieves, because they know that having a knowledgeable and skilled workforce drives success.”
Our firm competed against nearly 150 organizations from 13 countries. Every organization submitted quantitative and qualitative information to ATD about talent development practices and programs. Applications were assessed in a blind review by members of the BEST Awards advisory committee, a select group of experts in the field.
