The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) has been at the heart of accident prevention in the UK and worldwide for over 90 years. The British Safety Council (BSC) has a mission to support a safer, healthier and more sustainable society and was founded in 1957. Both RoSPA and BSC hold annual award programmes which encourage organisations to enter submissions for a range of awards.

Over 1000 organisations from across the world apply for the RoSPA and BSC awards each year; the awards are acknowledged by industry and the UK Health and Safety Executive as a powerful motivator for achieving high safety standards. Awards are made as a result of professional, administrative adjudication under supervision of an independent, expert Adjudication Panel.

These awards recognise and reward organisations that show a real commitment to improving corporate health and safety, not only through the reduction of the number of accidents, but through the introduction, application, compliance and continual improvement of health and safety management.
